Comissions
Committees are official groups within Unitas that together form the association and keep it running. Each committee contributes its share to the Association.
For example, there are committees for member activities but also to maintain the building or provide fried snacks.
Iedereen mag lid worden van een commissies die diens interesses aanspreekt. Er zijn 14 vaste commissies en 4 tijdelijke commissies.
The permanent committees
Acacie-A
The Acacie-A is one of Unitas' most sociable and cheerful committees. As an activities committee, they organise about two activities each term for all Unitas members (and once in a blue moon even an open activity). From a murder game to a barbecue, from a drinks tasting evening to a ghost tour. They always provide a fun activity. The Acacie-a can be reached at: acaciea@jvunitas.nl
Barcode
Whenever you feel like having a nice beer or soda at Unitas, the members of the Barcode will be there to pour it for you. The Barcode is the committee that manages the bar and takes care of the assortment, and of course we also make sure there is a nice atmosphere around the bar. Within the committee, we try to keep the knowledge needed to manage a bar and pass it on to new members. We also organise regular drinks tasting evenings and other drinks-related activities. Bandtech Commission (BaCo)

Bedrijfscommissie (BC)
The BC, or Bedrijfscommissie, is a committee that keeps an eye on the ins and outs of Unitas behind the scenes. They do this by monitoring the board and the other committees and by listening to the members. If there are problems, the BC tries to support them and if there are no problems, the BC tries to prevent them from arising. In addition, the BC is responsible for keeping a number of important documents up to date, such as the Internal Regulations (which state how Unitas works) and the business plan (what we want Unitas to look like in three years' time). Commissie van Financiën
The CovFi (Commissie van Financiën) is the finance committee of Unitas. Our role is to check the finances within the association. At big parties like Fingerlickin', The Top 100 or New Year's Eve, we check whether large sums of money are well spent. Joining the CovFi is a good idea if you want to know a bit more about what's going on within Unitas (after all, you see every cent that goes around). Furthermore, you can actually have a nice evening during the meetings, while also being useful! Of course, to live up to our name, with a nice cup of coffee in your hand (but tea or other drinks are also available). Have you become curious and would you like to know more About the Covfi? DOEkoes
The DOEkoes organises fun work events throughout the year. Usually these are music festivals, but it can be anything! Annual events include Paaspop, Zwarte Cross, Festyland and Castlefest. Volunteering at festivals offers a behind-the-scenes look and the epic afterparties are often still talked about. The work itself is also diverse, from bar duty to checking wristbands, and there are often plenty of opportunities to enjoy the festival itself. Apart from being hugely enjoyable, it raises money for Unitas in a fun way. Are you interested in coming to volunteer or would you like to help organise? Deko
Have you ever felt like expressing your creativity, decorating something or just want to hold a brush? Deko (decoratie commissie) will take care of you. We provide decoration at parties and activities. Think of painting canvases or walls, putting 3d things together and/or face painting people. In addition, we are now working on a plan to make the building look absolutely beautiful. At our meetings, we brainstorm what we are going to make and spar ideas with each other, so you always have input there. If drawing and crafting aren't your thing, that's no problem. We regularly use the projector to draw things over and clumsy deko (e.g. throwing paint) is also needed. For those people who don't really want to join the committee but want to help craft occasionally, there is also the craft list. This will keep you updated on when we are busy on the premises, and you can just drop by.

Feest Commise (FC)
At the FC, we do our best to keep whole association active by organising and planning open and sometimes closed dance and music parties. Most open FC parties are on Thursdays, and regularly we throw member parties in between.
Commission members learn to organise and other members can ask questions if they want to give an activity themselves.

Foetsie
En garde! We are the Foetsie, without a doubt the tastiest committee in Unitas! Every Monday evening, we make sure there is a delicious, nutritious and sometimes surprising meal on the table for our hungry members. Once a term, we eat together after which we have a nice meeting and discuss all the important things for the committee. LSDDT
The LSDDT man the DJ booth on party nights. We provide the bawdy and loud tunes that make the room dance. With us, you can learn about DJing, operating lights but also the technique involved.

PeN (Proza en Nieuws)
The PeN is the committee that puts together the Unit (Unitas' monthly magazine) every month. Our committee consists of active members who write one or more pieces and/or ensure that the Unit is well put together. There is also always the possibility for people who are not committee members to send in nice pieces! So what should you imagine by ‘pieces’? Among other things, interviews with first years, reports of activities, reviews of books and films, recipes and puzzles. We meet monthly, always looking for new ideas. Plexus
The Plexus is the building committee. Among other things, it deals with permit applications and maintaining contact with neighbours. We also maintain the association building, and take care of everything involved, such as planning renovations and hiring contractors. So there is always something to do at the Plexus. Prevencie
We are from the Prevencie, aka the safety committee of Unitas. We deal with atmosphere management, which involves making our premises safe for a party and addressing people about undesirable behaviour so that as many people as possible have a good time. Alongside this, we are responsible for maintaining EHBO and BHV graduates within the association. In our meetings, we discuss almost everything that could be related to safety. Are you interested? Snaccie
De Snaccie is de frituurcommissie van Unitas. We verzorgen om de week frituur bij de woensdagmiddagborrel (WoMiBo) en op (bijna) alle open feesten. Met onze gedeelde passie voor de bruine fruitschaal zijn we altijd op zoek naar nieuwe snacks en leuke activiteiten. Wil je iets met ons organiseren? Mail dan snaccie@jvunitas.nl.

The AIDcie hosts a week of activities and parties during Wageningen University's AID to introduce everyone to Unitas. aid@jvunitas.nl
Vitcie
The VITcie organises a VIT, Association Introduction Time, for all new members. This is a week filled with fun activities to get to know Unitas and Unitasers. vit@jvunitas.nl
LustrumCie
Hello! We are the Lustrumcie, and every five years we form a group of enthusiastic people to celebrate Unitas' existence for a whole year. In 2025, Unitas will be 90 years old and for that we have organised (in collaboration with other committees and board of course) lots of activities. This year in the theme of ‘Growing from Chaos’ because despite the last 5 years being somewhat chaotic, we managed to get a lot of great things done! We think it is important to plan activities for members as well as on activities, as we would like everyone to be able to participate in something they like. AlmanakCie
Every 5 years Unitas makes a new almanac, and the AlmanakCie is set up for that purpose. In 2024-2025, Unitas will celebrate its 90th anniversary, and of course that calls for a nice almanac!
